Basic Grey is one of my all time fav paper manufacturer. I love their designs not to mention their superb paper quality. Smitten every single release. This mini is 5×4 inches and uses BG’s Ambrosia papers. Luscious oranges and reds and yellows mixed with some gray and black………..SWOON!!!
I have to thank Leah Killian for these papers as she enclosed them as a gift along with my order. I was pleasantly surprised and I love my surprise gift.
Unfortunately I didn’t take a lot of pictures of this album. All the pages are pocket pages and are very similar in design. The paperpack came with a sticker sheet which I used to make the embellies for the album.
I had a few sheets of school themed stickers in my stash for a very, very, very long time. I finally decided to use them in a mini album. But I wanted to do something different, something not my style, something CAS—– I know, I know…….CAS is soooooo not my style.
This album is primarily white. I’ve used just three small sheets of patterned paper. For a pp lover like me, that’s extremely difficult. But then, I did want to try something different.
Here’s the cover page…………….
No stamping in this album either. I used my green ink pad to add a bit of colour to the embossed cardstock, that’s all. My husband liked this one a lot and picked it up as a gift for his friend.
Albums for girls do come together fairly quickly. I don’t have to think much about what papers to use because anything is ok. Picking papers for a boy album is a involved process. There are a lot of donts and one has to be a bit careful not to include any pink or purple or pastels. ‘When in doubt, leave it out’ is the dictum I follow when choosing papers for a boys album. They are fun to make though.
This album for a girl was one that came together very fast. Papermania papers, PTI dies and stamps, Prima flowers make up this pretty book.
Have a nice day everyone.
Shobana and I made another mini under our label PAPERZ. It was for a baby shower and the gift giver did not know the gender of the baby, so the colours are neutral. Here are some of the pictures:
Just like most of the albums PAPERZ makes, the album has ten pages, including the front and back cover. Papers used are a assortment of Papermania papers.
So there it is………
I have a bunch of posts lined up for the coming days, so be sure to check often. Most are mini albums, I havent made cards in such a long time. My card stash is actually gone……not one left. So I do have to find the time to make some soon.
12 by 12 layout made on order as a special gift for a loved one.
And yes…I did fix the blue flower ribbon and the yellow gingham strip before I gave it to the client…(who is going to frame it after putting the photo)
Kinda like this one I made of my kids.
Its not a very good picture but you get the idea.
More posts coming up in the next few days, so stay tuned and stop by often.
Blogging is once again on the agenda because we are back to regular schedule here at home. That leaves me with some extra time to update my pictures and projects here. Lots more posts to come in the next few weeks. I realised, as I was looking through my pic album, that there are a lot of projects that I havent shared here yet.
Here’s one for today. This album turned out exactly the way I envisioned it. And that made me immensely happy and satisfied. Love when that happens.
Love the green organza ribbon…….was a local find. Thankfully I bought oodles of it to last me a loooooong time.
I worked in reverse for this album. I made all the little embellishments first. Lots of stamping and die cutting too. After the embellies were ready I picked out the papers and then went about assembling the album. Life and Heartprint Sentiments stamps sets from PTI are my all time fav sentiment stamps. I’ve used them over and over and they have been used in this album too. Both were one of the first stamp sets I purchased from PTI and I’m not tired of them yet.
Take care and thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.
Another album made with Shobana’s collaboration. The papers used in this album are all Shobana’s. The client who requested this album was very clear on how she wanted it to look like. She pain-stakingly selected every single element that’s been used on the pages. She even helped in making the album and the matching box (to store the album). And to top it off it had to be made in record time. Shobana was outta town for part of that time and kids had exams and stuff. But we made it just in the nick of time and the client was happy.
Since almost all the pages had the pictures of the family on it, I am not showing you those. I dont feel right about showing someone else’s family picture here. So here are the pages with either the picture partially hidden or with no photos at all………………..
Cant show you the cover page as it has a pretty big photo on it.
On the page below, there’s a mini within a mini. Tied with the green ribbon is a fold out mini with pictures and space for hidden journaling.
Lots of inserts for adding on photos later on. I love the pretty colours of this album.
Now onto Shobana………………..she’ll show you the box that she made to store this album. With all the embellishments popped up for height, this album ended up being almost 3 inches thick. And the albums fits perfectly inside the box. Go take a look here.
