The last of the lot…………………………
Back to album posts from tomorrow.
Once again very, very simple cards. All made for my son’s art project.
The two blue frames were a gift from Priya Sivaraj. Thanks Priya, they were perfect for this card. Stamp is PTI’s Embellishments, white ink on navy blue cs, hand cut. The ‘U’ is Marisa alphabet die by Quickutz.
The rose die is by Quickutz. This was one of the first dies that I bought, more than 7-8 years ago……..back when I used to use the QK Squeeze tool to cut my dies. I still have my pink squeeze tool and I try to use it whenever I can.
Summer home-work for my son involved making 10-15 greeting cards. These cards were made in August and I so totally forgot to post this. My son’s contribution to making these cards was gluing some of the pieces. That’s all. Lets just say craft and him are a long ways away. They are most definitely not friends. I dont think they were being marked for this, so I felt less guilt about being the one making these cards.
Here are some of them…….
Very simple and CAS. And since I have to make the most of this jackpot of finding pics of 15 cards…………..you’ll see them in three different posts.
That’s all for today. Stay tuned for more……………
Made a few cards recently…… to use up the scraps actually.
Here’s one that uses Crate Paper scraps…………………….
Shobana had made this above card as a CAS Valentines card. A customer picked it coz she loved the heart border at the bottom……only she wanted more ‘stuff’ on it. So I embellished it further with the butterfly paper and ‘Miss U’ stickers etc.
My husband wanted a few Wedding cards……….this was one of the bunch that I made. Nestled it among the green leaves in my garden for the picture. I find the outside the best place to take pictures ….especially in the evenings, when the glare of the sun is gone but the brightness still remains.
What’s your best place to take pictures of your cards?
My husband needed two simple cards for his office-mates. Of course, he told me at 7 am and he was leaving at 7 30am. Here’s what I made.
Thanks Shobana for the finished die cuts and envelopes. This came together in a jiffy coz she had completed some of the work.
I dont know if you can tell, but the bamboo die cut on the card is layered – the one underneath is stamped in olive and the one above is a darker colour (have to ask Shobana the name of the ink).
Here’s the other card…………..
The papers used in this card are Basic Grey Ambrosia (to die for papers, I’ll say). Dies used are Wonky Rectangles (Spellbinders) and Harvest Berries (PTI)- both on loan from Shobana. Thanks much buddy!
I’ve been MIA for a while now.
I took a nice long break starting from Diwali to last week. And now I am back fully charged.
Here’s what I have for you today…………………….
CAS is not what I usually do, but this yellow flower was crying out for some attention. Hence the attempt.
This one above was made on request and uses Basic Grey Hello Luscious papers and PTI die cuts.
Glad to be back and I hope to be back to my regular blogging schedule.
Recently I participated in the ICR Secret Buddy Swap where each of us had to make a set of three 3×3 cards and one tag/bookmark for three secret buddies. It was a lovely experience. The surprise and wait was really hard though. Days spent wondering who my swap buddies were and also worrying if the cards I sent were liked by the people who received them.
Here are the secret swap 3×3 cards that I received:
This one above is from Ujjwal. I have to say that the twine candy card is my fav. Thanks Ujjwal.
In the midst of her admissions, Spardha still found time to participate in the swap and here are her cards and bookmark. The purple card wth the mush is just so cute. Thanks Spardha.
Piali sent me this beautiful collection. The bookmark with the beads at the end….super cute.
Thank you ladies for sharing your art with me. I totally enjoyed the experience. My secret swap buddies were Tejal, Asha and Jovita.
Tejal and Asha…thank you very much for organising this swap.
Misc cs from my desk, embossed blue cs with Fiskars template, scallop nestie on the yellow, Autumn Leaves flowers stamped on blue cs and hand cut. The centre pp (Basic Grey I think, but dont hold me to it) was the inspiration for the colours used on the card. A little bit of sponging on the sides with black ink. Flower ribbon is from a local craft store and even with its addition, I think the card looks kinda masculine.
These were some of the papers I received from Lucy during the ICR DP Swap. The paper was lovely with glittery flower swirls on it and was double sided too. Thanks Lucy for the lovely papers.
I’ve also used my new Tim Holtz embossing folder on the brown tag. Inked it up a bit with some pink ink. Flowers are PTI dies.
Keep watching this space for some news soon………..cant tell you what it is yet, but feel free to guess.
Ok there…….finally back with some posts. Sometimes life just takes over and you have to let it. Made this card inspired by the Less is More ‘frame it’ challenge. I am late to post for the challenge but thought I should show you the results.
Whole bunch of PTI goodies on this one- In Bloom stamp set (the flowers were stamped on pp and hand-cut), Turning a New leaf and Signature Greetings. The last two are on loan from Shobana- the best sharer in the world. Currently I have on loan her entire stash of PTI dies……..mind you….she hasnt used them yet and still she gave them to me to try out. That’s what I call a good friendship. Thanks Shobana.
The frame is hand drawn.
