Its been a while since I posted. Sometimes its just nice to let life take over and bask a little. I have been having a lot of fun with family and extended family in town for the summer. So blogging took a back seat. Then there was the exhibition that Shobana and I had to get ready for. Tons of products to make and showcase. It was a good two days at CP Art Centre, though tiring. We learnt which products were a hit and which werent and frankly, I was very surprised at what I found out. We also got orders that we are working on fulfilling right now.
All in all, a good start. Here are some pics.
That’s the two of us. Shobana did a live quilling demo. People who walked into the exhibition were very impressed with how fast she was churning out those perfectly quilled motifs.
PTI’s Favor It boxes put to good use. Perfect for tucking in those little gifts —a pair of earrings, few Ferrero Rochers, or even a gift card.
Handmade embellies for decorating gift boxes and sealing gift envelopes. At the bottom of the pic are post-it note holders.
We also had lots and lots and lots of greeting cards and mini albums for sale.
Gita and Prashanti 0f VASTRAAKAR displaying their colourful embroidered salwars, sarees and Kurtis. Very innovative in their design ideas Gita and Prashanti are truly masters of their craft and yet remain very humble.
Kavitha Sridharan of CHINGARI jewellery displaying her gorgeous handmade and unique jewellery pieces.
So there, I finally posted some pics. I am already looking forward to our next exhibition.
A very big THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by to encourage us (many of them read this blog).
Until next time…….
