Needless to say My Mind’s Eye (MME) is one of my all time favourite manufacturer of scrapbook products. I love their innovative designs and their  products are stellar in their quality. I recently purchased more MME goodness and have been creating up a storm. Paperz has a major exhibition coming up and we need to stock up on our creations. This album exclusively uses Follow Your Heart papers, the stickers and chipboard die cuts coordinate with the same line. The butterfly and flower die cuts were a RAK from Leah Killian. The flourish die is by MFT’s Die-namics (on loan from Shobana) Also Shobana, thanks for sharing the fabric ribbons too.

Here’s the cover page………………..

And here are the inside pages……………….

I seem to have lost the rest of the ‘inside page’ pictures. Will take some more and re- post in a few days. Enjoy these pics till then.

MME’s Sweetest Thing is one of my recent paper purchases and it stands true to its name. I love the papers and the matching embellies. I am so in love with the line that I havent plucked up the courage to put my scissors on the papers. I am in the ogling stage still. I’m dying to make a mini with those papers. My daughter wants one for her 10th birthday (which is fast approaching) and I think I shall use the Sweetest Thing papers for that (kinda appropriate, coz my daughter is really THE sweetest little thing)

This is what I am working on right now:

—–I have been making more minis these past few days. Will post them as soon as I get them bound.

—– Also working on some cards (finally!!!) for an art class at my children’s school.

—–A few last minute diwali paper crafts

—–Yet to make 15 elaborate book marks requested by my sons teacher

So, life’s busy……. lotsa things happpening……… a few sad, a few happy and the rest of the events falling in between. Squeezing in some time to blog in the midst of all this.

Thank you all for stopping by. I truly appreciate it.

8 x 8 mini album- assorted papers

A birthday gift for a much loved grandma from her grandkids………………..

I’ve used papers from MME, Basic Grey, Lily Bee, Crate paper and many more. Funnily enough they all coordinate and I loved how this album turned out. A very simply album where the focus is on the papers.

A little bit of washi tape thrown in for good measure.

And there you have it……………

Oh I just absolutely enjoyed making this one. Such bright colours. And a little boy album too. I’ve been working on so many girl albums that it was such a nice change of pace to create this lovely album for baby Keahn (love the name too, I keep saying it over and over again in my mind!)

A while ago Shobana shared a bunch of her papers with me. Among the lot was this bright set by DCWV, I think.

Most stickers and die cuts are by MME (different lines).

The chipboard buttons and frames are by Piggy Tales.

The person I made it for loved this particular album a lot and said that it was her fav. Well……I had a blast making it!!!

Sit tight…..coz there’s a lot more albums coming your way. I have quite a few posts lined up……..

Have a nice day everyone and thanks so much for taking the time to stop by here for a peek. I truly appreciate it.

Three of a kind

Paperz was asked to make three albums which were exactly the same for three little girls who are good friends. And so we did…………

Here’s what the cover page looks like…..

The challenge in this album was to find  matching paper for all the 10  8 x 8 pages. There were only two pages which did not have the exact same patterned paper.

I’ve used an assortment of papers from different companies.

Die cuts used in this album are Rosie Posie (my current fav), Banner die from PTI, Spellbinders Labels die. The journaling tags are by KI memories (sourced from Four Minutes to Four).

I recently bought a whole bunch of washi tapes fom Rachana, and I absolutely love my new purchase. I have used the washi tapes liberally in this ‘triplet album’.

Usually it takes me just a week to complete a mini, but this one took a lot longer. Not just coz there were three of them but because I tried real hard to get matching papers for all the three.

I havent made a card in such a long while. I havent played in any challenges for the longest time. I find that I love the creating process and challenging myself to create to certain specifications (like using a sketch, using only a certain number of products etc) but I really dont care much about uploading them in time at the challenge blogs. The whole “upload-create a blog post-link to challenge site-etc-etc” are deadlines I couldnt care about at all. That is just added pressure that stifles the mojo in me.

Is that wierd? Would love to hear what you think……….

I am not particular that people everyone around the world look at my stuff. I am just happy making pretty stuff that I can ogle at. I am not sure if anybody else feels like that at all.

That’s my two bits for today.

Kanu’s courtship album

A courtship album, made on request of the recently engaged young lady. She wants to journal her thoughts during the period between her engagement and her wedding and present it to her beau. Such a beautiful thought, na. I really put my heart and soul into this album. She wanted lots of hearts, and laces and frills and pretty colours. I think I delivered…………….take a look………………

Shobana made the beautiful lacey embossed piece that you see on the cover as one of the layers. I was visiting her home and saw this piece on her desk. She was playing with embossing powders and distress inks and this was a trial piece. The colours on it were pink and orange, just like my cover page, and I thought the lacey-ness would be perfect. And she let me have it (not that I gave her much choice).

If you look closely, you can notice the ‘trust’ charm and the metal heart woven around the pink ribbon.

The typewriter is a rub on.

There are two mini-mini albums within this mini album. She wanted a lot of space for journaling. So I’ve given he empty white pages inside the ‘ take your time’ booklet.

This album has papers from many different manufacturers. I just pulled out all coordinating colours from my cupboard and got to work.

This page above shows the second mini-within-a-mini on the right hand side (the flowery paper). Lots of journaling space.

And this was the last page……………………….

I made a cute little card to coordinate with the album, as a thank you for the order.

The products used in making the card are all by MME (Follow Your Heart line of papers and embellies).

Shobana die cut the scrolls used on the card and on the cover of the album. I’ll have to ask her the name of the die. I distressed the die cuts with Tim Holtz Distress inks (Fired Brick).

And that’s that for now.

MME Lime Twist mini album

I love MME’s Lime Twist line of papers. Here’s an 8 x 8 album I made using papers entirely from that line. This one’s was made on order for a tween girl ‘A’.

Now onto the rest of the pages………….

Dies used: PTI’s Limitless Layers Ovals, Beautiful Blooms, Scalloped Borders, Cherry Lynn’s Tropical flourish die.

Lime Twist has some lovely coordinating die cut accents which I’ve used throughout the mini.

The die accent on the top left of the left page (with the 6 little girls on it) is by  Cosmo Cricket. It was a left over from another project.

And one more…

The album’s been delivered to the customer and I hope the little tween likes it as much as I do………

A Slice of Life: album

MME and DCWV papers were used in this album. I loved making it as it was a color scheme I hadn’t worked on in a while. The embellishments used are Crate Paper stickers, MME ready made die cuts (from eons ago) and PTI die cuts. Might I add that PTI dies and stamps were used liberally to  make the embellies. MS border punch…..{on loan from Shobana} …….became the inspiration for the cover page. I was going for a garden/trellis/nature feel for the cover.

Presenting the cover page……………

The album was made on order and was going to be used for grandparents-grandson pictures.

And that’s it for today. Please stop by soon for more crafty goodness.

Echo Park little-mini album

I had Echo Park Little Girl scraps sitting on my table for the longest time. So I decided to make a cute little-mini album………’s only 3×5 inches. But oh-so-cute……..even if I say so myself.

Take a look ……………….

This is probable the most elaborate little-mini album I’ve ever made.

Take care,

Felicitation in a Frame

My grand-aunt requested a gift for her neighbor’s daughter’s Bharatnatyam dance recital. PAPERZ delivered and my grand-aunt was very, very happy.

She wanted something very simple but elegant.

Big flower is from Itsy Bitsy. Small flowers bought from a shop in Parry’s. Chipboard stickers from Ananda Stores. The frame itself is from Jovita.

Boys: album

Shobana was very generous in sharing her MME All About Boys and DCWVs Boy themed papers. That’s what I used to create this album. This album was made as a gift for my husband’s colleague’s grandson. I hope they liked it.  Chevron is everywhere this season. The chevron washi tape you see on the cover is a recent buy to go with that trend.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this album. I love all my albums and parting with them is such a sweet sorrow. I always hope that they find a nice and loving home and that people actually use them to put pictures and words in them.

See you soon,
