My Mind’s Eye has been a favourite company of mine for the longest time (since the old Wild Asparagus and Kaleidoscope days). After a long time I was able to get my hands on some beautiful MME papers- their entire Lime Twist collection- ENTIRE!!!!!……..and when I say ‘entire’ I mean all the designer papers, embellishments everything. This is the first time I’ve ever purchased any collection as a whole and I am just drooling over the products.

So……as I was browsing thro MME’s blog I noticed they had a layout challenge posted.

So……I decided to participate. My first ever  layout challenge. I loved the sketch and I had the perfect picture to go with it.

Here is the sketch……..

And here is my layout………………….

The great thing about MME is that a lot of their lines coordinate with each other. Take this  layout as an example: the 12×12 paper is Lime Twist; brads are from the Fine and Dandy collection; sentiment die cuts, transparency behind the tag and the tag itself are Stella & Rose; the stamps (banner, dress form, butterfly and the scallop design) are Lost and Found 2— and they all fit together perfectly.

One rule for the challenge was that we had to use brown- so I’ve used brown cardstock to mat the photo, brown ink for all the stamping, vintage photo distress ink to distress the edges of the 12×12 dp and the die cuts. Brown and pink Petaloo flowers, and brown striped ribbon from Maya Road complete the page.

Aditya Gupta has a new craft and book  store and he is looking for a design team. I am submitting this project for the DT call.

Have a great day y’all.
